Good Evening!! Soccer season is a go. If you are interested in coaching please Reach out ASAP! All players must be registered and paid for by 03/27/2021.
They are allowing 6U, 8U, 10U , and this year only 13U. Do not delay these are hard closing dates.
We are still awaiting word from the SYSL if Soccer will be holding a Season this spring including any details so we can keep those interested informed.
We do know this. If they do have a season, we will need to follow all the guidelines that the CDC, HEALTH DEPT and SYSL put in place for spring sports.
We also would need to follow all the rule changes that are in place for soccer games! Things like NO HEAD BALLS ALL DIVISIONS, NO THROW IN, CORNER KICKS, AND MORE.
In the 10U and 12U there would be no playoffs as that is considered tournament play and that is still a NO in the CDC guidelines for all sports. SYSL would be looking to start the season mid-late April(19th or 26th) with a 8 game schedule for the season in all divisions.
Please stay tuned as we continue to find out more information. We will be basing how we proceed as an organization regarding soccer of of that and will be transparent throughout.
As we approach the restart of Youth Sports with Wilshire Athletic Association, we want to make sure all parents understand the guidelines that have been put in place by the CDC as well as the sports leagues we play for. Players will need to:
Players and spectators will need to keep in compliance with the rules that will be set forth by the league where we play. Facemask must always be worn properly and if a player continuously violates the facemask policy they will be removed from the field of play for the remainder of the game. If a subsequent violation occurs, they will be removed from the team. Due to the ever- changing conditions there is the possibility that there will be restrictions on the number of parents/guardians/spectators allowed at the practices and games. Our refund policy will remain the same as it has always been.
*Reg must be paid in full in order to receive a spot-on roster. No uniforms will be given without full payment. We are under a very tight timeline so there will not be any payment plans available.
Refund Policy
We will be opening our online registration for baseball today for children ages 7 to 12 only. It will be open until Wednesday March 17th at which time we have to notify the league of how many teams we will have. We are still waiting to hear from the soccer league but anticipate that we will be doing those registrations later this month for approximately the same ages. We hope to see you back out on the field this season!
We will sadly have to cancel the last two skills and drills sessions for the season (Oct 17th & Oct 24th). With Springfield falling and remaining in the “Red” category, and the City announcing a 2 week suspension of school sports, the Board has decided that we must follow suit. We will always put the health and safety of our players first. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to offer these practice sessions to the community and will continue to think of creative ways to get kids active and moving.
We are hoping to have the ability to offer spring sports, so please be sure to check in on our Facebook page or website over the next couple of months. The registration form for our 3rd and last set of Fall Soccer Skills Sessions has just been added to this website. Our first two “3 session” sets of soccer skills and drills has given our organization the opportunity to work with and stay involved with your kiddos. We have certainly found them to be a great success. We are encouraging all parents to sign their children up and come out to join us for this last round. Like previously stated, this is a great opportunity for kids to get out and get some exercise, practice their soccer skills and also be around other kids their age. In keeping within State and Local guidelines, We are making sure to follow all necessary requirements to make these events safe for everyone involved.

We do however want to give you the opportunity to take part in something that will provide your children with a chance to get out on the field and stay active.

We are very sad to announce that there will note be a soccer season for us this fall. The current state order will not allow soccer to be played at this time as it falls into the “high risk” category. For anyone who already registered, please be aware that we’ll be issuing refunds this week. We are meeting as a board this morning to try and find creative ways to keep kids active and engaged in soccer during this time, even without a season. We will post information to our Facebook page and this website as soon as we have it available. We are truly missing our Wilshire families and hope that you are all safe and well.

It is with great sadness that we must announce the cancellation of the 2020 Spring Sports Season. This decision did not come lightly and we have waited and hoped for things to change. Most of the playing fields and schools being closed confirmed our decision to cancel this season. Refunds have been processed already if you paid by credit card or debit card. Cash or check payments are being refunded by check in the mail please give that 2-3 weeks.
We hope that everyone that has volunteered to coach and all our players will return next season. We wish you well and stay active.
Those who wish to play Soccer in the Fall please keep watch for our signup information coming out late in June.
Be Safe and just know we all wish we were on the field just as much as the kids. Stay Safe Stay together and Stay Home!

Hi Everyone,
Please be advised that all spring sports are currently at a stand still. Practices and games cannot begin while we are under State orders to “Shelter in Place” We’re awaiting decisions regarding the start of the season for each sport and will provide updates as soon as we have them. We’re all trying to navigate this situation and we are very sorry for the delay. Please understand that we want the kids out on the field as much as you all do. WE want to be on those fields ourselves. For now, we will have to wait while we continue to monitor the situation. We wish you all good health and hope we see you all soon.
